You are to install the old version of mozilla, what happen here is that did ti actually delete and not uninstall the mozilla application properly. Mostly the problem is like this, windows cannot find the link.
All you have to is install the old version and keep updated on the new version of Mozilla 3.5 then follow the latest version Mozilla 3.6.4. Do not use the Default Directory (ex: c:\program files\mozilla), change it or create a new one.
