As listed on apple's website. After iTunes version 6.0.4 (I beleive), SP2 is required to install itunes.
You might want to download and install Windows Service Pack 2 for IT Professions from Microsoft's website. Then restart the installation for iTunes 7.6
Windows Requirements- 32-bit editions of Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Vista
- 64-bit editions of Windows Vista
- 500 MHz Pentium class processor or better
- QuickTime 7.1.6 or later (included)
- 256MB RAM
- Supported CD-R or DVD-R drive to burn CDs
- Broadband Internet connection (DSL/Cable/LAN) for buying and streaming music
Additional Video Requirements- 2GHz Pentium class processor or better
- 512MB RAM
- 32MB video RAM

Re: sorry,but still need help
The link that is listed above is the SP2 for IT professionals. That means that it will work for all Windows XP platforms. The one in the market should come with a brand new Windows XP operating system with SP2 integrated in it. SP2 by itself is always free. You can even check on the Microsoft's website (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...s/default.mspx)
