Hi Doctor,
I found a Audacity_1.2.6.deb file on the Internet (Audacity 1.2.6 is the latest stable version with the option of slowing down the music without affecting the tone).
Double clicking it installed this version of Audacity onto my pc. So, the problem has been solved. Thanks for your reply, regards, Daan
