Hello to all...
I've been working on a family member's XP Home box with Music Match 10.0.0043 - the initial Windows install was wrecked when one of the kids tried to put an XP Pro partition on the boot disk - had to do a full repair of XP Home that was unsuccessful. Clean install worked and kept the old user files.
I've recovered the old database file and corrected all of the broken library links manually (moved all music files into a single directory, rather than flung across multiple drives for ease of backup). Tracks play perfectly from the library, but the playlist files come up with multiple broken links. What's truly strange is that until the playlist is cleared, even the library link comes up as broken. Once I clear the playlist, the clip plays perfectly.
I need to know where I'd find the playlists and if I can correct them offline - are they a component of the main MDB file?
Thanks,
Adam
Correct me if I'm wrong asemcken but your problem is why do you have broken files on the playlist? Can you clarify you question sir so i can come up with the best solution.
Thank you and have a great day.
