I understand that you are now back with IE 7 so thats good. But i really didnt get your whole Internet Options problem. Can you may be elaborate a little more on that.
From what i know the Internet Options should be under the Tools Menu in the IE 7.
Hello.
I recently downloaded internet explorer 8 ---- problem is it is not compatable with "Mcafee secrity centre".
So I unistalled it and re-installed IE7.
When I went to use IE7 it would not work because when I uninstalled IE8 it had removed the "internet Options" file (it was missing from the "Control Panel".
So I am stuck with either no internet explorer or no mcafee security centre.
Does anybody out there know how I can download IE7 and then retrieve "internet options".
Without "internet options" --- windows live home --- windows messenger --- and outlook express will not work from the desktop
Help Please !

Hello help_desk.
No you are right i didn't explain fully.
When I click start ---- control panel ---- network and internet connections the internet options feature is missing.
This stops internet explorer working.
Stops windows live mail working.
Stops otlook express working.
And stops my live/home page working.
I can get to all these and other features using Firefox but it becomes very laborious not being able to access them from the desk top.
I hope this makes it a bit clearer.
Internet Explorer->Tools->Internet Option
and
start -> control panel -> network and internet connections ->internet options
both are same !!
// internet option is as shortcut into Innternet Exploer !!
install internet explorer and it will solve ur all problems !!
plus in
windows live mail
outlook express internet explorer is as default browser so.. u cant access it widout changing default browser !!
i prefer uh to install IE.8.0 !!
MicroSoft -IE
Yes, i have experienced this problem too.
You should not uninstall IE if you are going to upgrade or downgrade.
If you do the steps you said it will make your whole system think that there is no IE installed (old or new).
What you need to do is just launch he installer of old or newer version of IE this will give you a list of options including remove, install, repair....the installer is the one that has the power to uninstall IE without doing some small damages to your programs and/or to your system.
We help not because we need to but we help because we want to.........there's a big difference between "need" and "want"
Never uninstall web broswers like firefox and IE if you only have one web browser. Once you uninstall a web browser without having some back up web browser internet option will also be deleted. Why? Internet option will only work if you have an internet connection so deleting web browser will make internet option useless so the system wil automatically delete it too.
