Question help with itunes - 01-03-2009

I downloaded itunes 7.5 because I wasn't able to sync my shuffle with the latest version. I read that changing back to the old version would fix the problem.

After I uninstalled my current version of itunes and downloaded 7.5 I got the following error message when trying to open itunes 7.5.

"The file itunes library.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of itunes."

Help!!!

Uninstalling iTunes will not delete all evidence. When uninstalling iTunes, there files that will retain so you need to find the folder where iTunes and the folder where all downloaded audio is located and manually delete it, in this way no evidence will be left then restart your PC so that the regisrty will detect no iTunes installed.

We help not because we need to but we help because we want to.........there's a big difference between "need" and "want"

Yes uninstalling the application is not enough. Even if you uninstall a certain program there are still some files that will remain on your computer, those leftovers can sometimes cause problems when you install any newer or older version of that application. what you can do is to find and manually delete or the remaining files on your computer especially on your registry.

There is an easy way to do this. download uninstaller programs. Google it you will find lots of them, some are free but most are paid programs. It can help you clean all leftovers including registry entries when you uninstall any program.

I recommend Your Uninstaller but if you are looking for free but reliable apps you can try these two programs.
