It seems you accidentally deleted a file or an important file that runs the installation of MSN Messenger. What i mean is, delete the folder including it's content. In this way, it is 100% deleted. While in uninstalling some files from other programs has a higher chance of getting deleted without you noticing it. I have encountered this kind of error in deleting and uninstalling many times. I have this program called MP4 audio converter, when i tried to uninstall it some files from my MS office got deleted also but when i tried to delete it it works and the files from my MS office is not deleted. This is some sort of virus or bug in most operating system i think.

thats because effected files of mp4 converter !!
