Error Installing MMJB 8.1
Many years ago I purchased MMJB Plus and in a moment of insanity, uninstalled it. I want it back so I downloaded MMBJ 8.1 and now when I try to install it, everything goes fine but then it gets to "confiiguring your system" and quits responding. If I try to re-run it, I get "Music Match is preparing the Install Shield Wizard" but it doesn't open. I check Task Manager, and it is not responding. When I end that task, I get "remote procedure call failed."
I've tried cleaning the registry, stopping MMJB processes from running in Task Manager, rebooted and I even disabled my firewall (yikes!) I can't get it to stop hanging up at configuration or install wizard.
Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks for your reply but I don't think your suggestion will help because it doesn't let me get that far. The InstallShield Wizard doesn't open, it doesn't respond, so I don't even get to say what folder it is going to go into.

Yes, there's a free download manager here at oldapps. Kindly download it then re download the file you needed. This maybe a case of a corrupted file you are trying to download. Download managers can filter it.

I tried to download the Internet Download Manager, but my firewall (Zone Alarm and Forcefield) said I shouldn't because it was unsigned. I did anyway and all kinds of warnings popped up not to open or run it. So I guess I will live without Music Match. Thanks for all your help.

Maybe the program you tried to download and/or have downloaded has some corrupt files in it. Just to be sure ill send my own copy to your email add.
