Hello:
Despite downloading old version for Shockwave and for Adobe Macromedia Flashplayer, they don't work. I chose one exe for Windows 95 / 98 , etc, it automatically downloaded itself in Windows Application folderinstead of downloaded programs
. Macromedia the same song, I tried several folders and it doesn't work neither. Can you send me EXE'S that download it in the correct Windows folder and work?
Thank you in advance,
Chris.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I clicked on install and in software it is set as a plugin. Because Flashplayer 9 , always gives me failure, it abort download, despite it is said to be working on Windows Millennium. I need it urgently working, because I follow lessons online and also correct other's lessons. I cannot wait for more than two months to get my new pc working. I lost accidently a good working macromedia flashplayerand cannot find it back. I downloaded it from a website, called something like Rar, one must wait more than a minute (a virgual clock counting). I now already did delete in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\Macromedia, every time the folder with file and install.log, because every and each time I go on a website (and especially my lessons website), an update of Adobe® Macromedia® Flash Player installation get in action to download the latest version, BUT I canNOT see it, so the only thing I can do is wait. WAITING for MORE than 10 minutes every time, it cost me hours, to get done, what normally only would take 15 minutes!!!
My only hope to finally get to GOOD and CORRECT working EXE'S, is here
Thank you in advance,
Chris.
NB: I haven't mention yet. I am always told to download ADOBE flashplayer (for Windows Millennium), BUT I cannot get connection with the website! Itried many different addresses and always that errorpage that the page cannot be found or technical...etc. I checked and on the settings on my pc are correct. I also tried the address given by that 10 minutes obstructing invisible pop up from Macromedia to update: http://www.adobe.com/product/flashpl...nfo/systemreq/
Also then I get after 5 minutes the page again, cannot find server..., and all that other blabla.

I feel bad that people like you are not able to get their old PCs working. What a shame on companies that became so rich on those systems and now do not even support them
Anyways here is a link I found that I know will work on Windows 98 and ME
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub...layer_9_ax.exe (For internet explorer)
and
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub...h_player_9.exe (For non-IE browsers)
I'd also suggest you to download Firefox and then install the non-IE version of flash as well. You can download Firefox for Windows 98 from: Old Version of Firefox 2.0 Download - OldApps.com and Old Version of Firefox 2.0.0.20 Download - OldApps.com

Hello Helpdesk:
I WAS very glad it WAS solved. Yeah...right... That rotten bastard I told you about is always taken over after a short while and still keeps me waiting a long time to continue. Then I delete all file / folders I find in C:\Program Files (except your sent exe) and mostly also in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM|Macromed
Then redownload yor exe and then I can go on a while, though not all is working, not all photos or videos (clips) and others on flashplayer working.
I cannot update my AVG software since a year so I don't know how many by the outdated database not recognisable viruses I got. Though accidently discovered I two, in a map of which I don't know what to do with it. I was downloading file by file to send it by e-mail to someone to get his advice what it's all about. It is a map that came up since my phone cy that also is the internet provider, their technician came to install digital tv and my pc on VDSL. It's called MSA and is a separated folder in C:\MSA, it includes eg a exe for IE7, one for fff, and so more, as well an exe called w2_0, an exe for msctrip, one for sysinfo, one mscj, one userid, one called download.list, and one update12.
I had got from someone a link to antivirus free download that also work for Windows 98 but had to unstall it again because it also obstruct me in using internet.
Thank you in advance
Chris.
Did send you a explanation about still having troubles about...
Awaiting your answer, best regards
Chris.
How can I permanently stop that obstructing behavior of Macromedia flashplayer??? I regularly delete all files I can find and the exe of the good one in 'software'. Though every and each time, after a very short while that creep comes back and every time I change page or website or e-mail, it obstruct me for atleast 5 minutes now, this happens sooooo many times, I loose enormously much time, waisted time. Also, the working exe I got, works not on all activeX related flashplayer stuff.
Thx
Chris.
I got the advice to unstall and reinstall. I replied that I many times already all files / folders I could find, did delete and also in 'software', then reinstalled the exe for working on Windows 98. Is somewhere a hidden path or on user_key_maschiene_ , or something alike that keeps it coming back?
