Am attempting to install 2.0; the download comes thru 2.0.exe and requests I choose which app to open Firefox with. None work. As this is downloading to my desktop, an add'l icon appears; seems to have a Quicktime logo, and instantly disappears.

So, I'm unable after several attempts to get 2.0.

    Can you help please.
    Thank you.

This is not difficult to install Firefox 2.0 but in your problem it seems that it will disappear when you are trying to install it on your system.
Use Registry Cleaner to remove and any program that block to your installation.
Also change the directory of your installation. Good luck!

    Hi Kingsleypr and help_desk,

I am having a similar problem. When I try to install mozilla firefox 2.0 on my MAC (OS = Leopard, or 10.5) I get a message that says "mounting failed". I do not have any old firefox versions or other programs on the computer that could be interfering. Can someone advise how to install firefox 2.0 on my MAC?

    Thank you.

Thanks for responding, but I do not think this will address my issue.

The reason I want firefox 2.0 is that is does not block the paste feature in some forms. Does the newer version of Firefox also have this feature? I don't think it does, but please confirm.

If it is impossible to install Firefox 2.0 on my MAC (with Leopard), then please let me know if there are any other browsers that also will not block the paste feature in forms. Alternatively, maybe you might know how to turn off this feature in Firefox - or in Safari or some other browser.

    Thanks.

What you need to do is that make sure your shortcuts for copy and paste work fine. To install any version of Firefox, you need to download a correct .dmg file from Old Version of Firefox for Mac Download - Mac.OldApps.com and double click on that .dmg file and it should get mounted. If you do get mount fail error, just try to download that specific version again.

if it fails again let us know the exact version you are trying to download and I will post a video about it.

We had a server issue and that has been resolved earlier today. Now the downloads should work as they should.
