it can't because its reading a file made by a newer version. Just move that file to another location so it will stop checking it. When iTunes opens it will search for all your files (media) and add them to the library.
I have read the many helpful and enlightening threads on downgrading itunes and followed the instructions word for word - but to no avail. itunes 6.0.5 still wont accept my 7.5 library itl file.
The oldest backup itl file i have is dated november 2007, and my newest one the 26th Jan 2008. Neither of them work. I have re-installed 7.5 since and my library is intact (playlists etc..) and I then tried the pocedure another 3 times over but it still wont work!
Any suggestions to what I should/can do?
Thanks
