Most Computer, after being reformatted doesn't have a JAVA installed unless a technician or a programmer installed a JAVA. Now, how will you know if you have a JAVA or not and if ever you have, what version? Read along to find out how.
A. If you Have A JAVA
-Go to control panel ( start-settings-control panel) <----this applies to windows 2000
-Go to control panel ( start-control panel)<------for windows NT,ME,XP, VISTA
-Switch to classic view for easier browsing
-If you have a java, you can see it right away, then double click it
-choose about to know the version.
B. If you don't have a JAVA
-Go to run (start-run)
-type "cmd".
-In the window that opens, type java -version. If you have java installed, you should get an output starting with something like:
java version "1.6.0_01"
-if JAVA is not installed, you will received a message saying "JAVA is not recognized as an external or internal command, operable program or batch file.
- JAVA is installed but you don't have to run it manually. Once installed it knows when and where to run.![]()
