Windows 98: Default Operating System

Windows 98 (codenamed Memphis) is a graphical operating system released on 25 June 1998 by Microsoft and the successor to Windows 95. Like its predecessor, it is a hybrid 16-bit/32-bit monolithic product based on MS-DOS. Windows 98 was succeeded by Windows Me on 14 September 2000.


Why does it became the default operating system?

1) Windows 98 support all drivers ranging from windows 3.0 up to windows vista which is not a lie. Off course it can support all drivers if....(there's an if) if you installed windows 98 to much higher specs computer.

EX.
INTEL 500-2.20ghz
128-512 mb RAM
32-512mb Video card
(These are just sample specs)
I hope you get my point on this.

2) Some operating systems have bugs and errors but windows 98 is so user friendly that it can be operated even by a kid.

3) Windows 98 is the middle man of all operating system. Why? first it is the created in the middle. ( 3.0 -......-98-.......VISTA). Second it can adapt from windows 3.0 as well as in vista.

There are many more things that windows 98 can do. Just wait until i have finished my research about this and i will post it for all of us to know.
