I have visited several sites that hold some surveys of what are the advantages of yahoo messenger. For me yahoo messenger is just a program used for communicating others, just like that, but these answers prove me wrong. Here are some answers i saw.


1. The advantages of the said messenger in terms of mass communication, socializing. Need it for homework.

2. Cheap communication. As long as you pay your monthly internet fee, it is cheap than talking on the telephone, especially long distance. It also gives a person the opprotunity to talk to many people at the same time.

3. You can talk/chat to a lot of people at the same time. You can meet different people with interesting characters and personalities. You can talk to one person and hide from the other.

4. Definitely cheap, but not the only option out there. I use it but MSN im is starting to pick up steam again and is interactive with yahoo im. I used to use AIM but hardly anyone uses it any more. So Yahoo and MSN have a larger user group. Gmail im was a nice idea but in the long run it was more annoying than anything. I like Yahoo but in the end I think I will switch back to MSN. You can transfer files with both, web cam , audio chat and play games. But the GUI I fell is better with MSN and is already installed on a PC when you get it.

5. you don't even have to open up to your mail, it gives you like an IM that you got new mail. You can do voice mail. There are entertainment, sports, etc buttons that search for things right away for you like online movie tickets, the weather, news, etc. There's a phone organizer, you can even search for certain Yahoo Users that you aren't sure of but know their real names, etc! Very helpful. You might need to download a more advanced version, tho.
