I will show a step by step guide on how to determine if your USB port is working or if your ipod is the one who has problem.

FOR WINDOWS USER
Connect iPod and/or memory stick before doing this.

  1. Click start
  2. Choose Control Panel and open it
  3. Choose Administrative tools and Open it
  4. Double click Computer management
  5. There are choices on the left side of the screen.
  6. Choose storage and under it click Rmovable storage
  7. Under Libraries, you should see connected CR or DVD roms.
  8. Under Media, you should see your iPod and/or memory stick.

***If connected iPod and/or Memory stick doesn't show it means somethings wrong with your post. Something is blocking the devices you plug.

FOR MAC USER I STILL HAVE TO SEARCH THIS ONE. I HAVE 100% NO IDEA REGARDING MAC.
