Sorry to hear that issue. This can help you: iTunes 9.2.1
It's the last download for iTunes 9.2.1 directly from Apple.
Good luck.
I've had a Macbook for 3 years and, although it is nowhere near as user-friendly as a PC, it is definitely more reliable.
Until now.
I bought an iPod Touch a couple months ago. Worked fine. One day, my Macbook would not recognize it. Apple support said, uninstall completely your iTunes (9) and then re-install iTunes. It worked.
For awhile.
Yesterday, Macbook did not recognize iPod Touch again. I uninstall according to the directions Apple sent me expecting it all to work again after re-installing.
But no! I try to re-install iTunes and Apple is only offering iTunes 10. Didn't think there would be a problem. Until I found out that my Mac OS X Ver. 10.4 cannot download the iTunes 10. Only the iTunes 9; which is no longer available from Apple. Only solution: upgrade to Mac OS X Ver. 10.6. For free? NO. So they manage to make iTunes 9 crap out on you so will have to install iTunes 10 except that before that you will have to PAY them to install Mac OS X Ver. 10.6.
I was always frustrated that Microsoft had nothing but idiots working for them. But compared to the Evil people at Apple, I'm changing my mind.
What happened to me will happen to all Apple users eventually. And it happens by design so that Apple can extort more money from its users.![]()
