Hi, my laptop died. I waited till I could get a decent replacement so I have been offline awhile. I'm not sure which one of the photoshops to try out. I would like to blend photos. Any suggestions? I don't have $$$ for the new one, and I really don't need a real complicated one. Adobe Photoshop CS2 is only $89 but I downloaded it and it put all kinds of fingers in my OS. I hate that. It wanted to be online 24/7.

Photoshop 7 will do it. But what's your computer speed? You can also try Picasa. Picasa is free and has some advance features like photoshop.

If you are looking for cheap photoshop prices you can try Amazon and eBay. I am sure you will find them around $40 - $70.

If you actually search for older versions, you will find them even cheaper. (Around $30 - $50)

Also try using some freeware apps just to blend images.

    HI..

A popular high-end image editor for the Macintosh and Windows from Adobe. The original Mac versions were the first to bring affordable image editing down to the personal computer level in the late 1980s. Since then, Photoshop has become the de facto standard in image editing. Although it contains a large variety of image editing features, one of Photoshop's most powerful capabilities is layers, which allows images to be rearranged under and over each other for placement. Photoshop is designed to read from and convert to a raft of graphics formats, but uses its own native format for layers (.PSD extension).
