i have a ibook G4, with mac os 10.3.9 and i want to have the best and newest version of safari....

What version of safari can i use and where can i get it please

is there a newer version of safari that would still work on 10.3.9? i have safari 1.3.2 however i would like a browser with tabs. any advise?

In that case why not just use Firefox. Its much better and significantly security improved.

only problem is firefox crashed last week, i installed a newer version and now it won't open at all. it bounces once and then does nothing. much like this person Which Firefox version? .. however it is a powerbook not an eMac.. I have tried installing multiple firefox editions and it does nothing. Any suggestions?

I have the same issue..I need to get a later version of Safari because a particular government website I need to access, only supports Safari 2 and better for Macs...very annoying since Firefox is superior...and free.

Has anyone else had any luck with Safari 2+ with 10.3.9?

(I realize 10.3.9 is a dud, but my computer is old...not into upgrading right now.)

or if you use 1.3.2, just go to options, tabs and activate! easy way, isn't it?

For best results and hassle free, you can use firefox or internet explorer.
