    Default Upgrade iPhoto?

I have iPhoto, version 2.0.1 and it has been runnng very slowly.I have backed up and deleted more than 2000 photos to try to speed it up, but I wonder if I should just get a newer version. The updates I have noted are 6.0.1, 6.0.3, or 6.0.6..and I see that one first needs to have 6.0., but I do not see that anywhere.
Is 6.0 available as a free download?

I am using Mac OS X version 10.4.11,
    256 MB SDRAM
    Processor 800MHZ Power PC G4

All of this means very little to me, so I hope it answers your question.

Your processor speed is not as fast as it seems. Try over riding the clock speed.

what i mean is you can try asking a technician to override the clock speed of your processor which is more cheap than buying a new processor with a higher speed.

your ram is 256mb !! so system will not be able to read all data at same time !!
1)clear all files from temp folder.
2)when you use iPhoto dont run anyother programe in background. !

now, you will see your computer is little faster then before

i suggest you to upgrade your ram to 2gb. !! if 2gb is costly, then go for 512mb
Twice and thrice over, as they say, good is it to repeat and review what is good.@ www.reviewer.in
