Question Macromedia Flash 8 Pro => Mac OS 10.4 ?

    Hi there!

Is anybody here running a pre-Adobe version of a Flash editor on Mac OS 10.4 or so?

I tried to install Macromedia Flash Pro 8 from an older computer, on my current Intel iMac, OS 10.4.11. It installed; then got as far as accepting my serial number, with a green tick mark, but I could never get it to actually launch. I'd be willing to spend 25 dollars for another copy (several "OEM software" sites sell a German version for that amount) IF I had confidence that the problem is just with my file, and not with the more modern operating system.

    Any anecdotes to tell?

Try searching for it in some torrent sites.
We help not because we need to but we help because we want to.........there's a big difference between "need" and "want"

Thank you, but, have you actually gotten it to run on a recent iMac??

Btw, there's a "for Mac" version in German, on sale for US$25.

All right, confirmed: nothing wrong with the installer nor the serial number; not even with the operating system.
The blessed thing runs on my tangerine "flavored" iMac G3, which, fortunately, I can hook up to my newer machine via Firewire and File Sharing.

Is the problem with the Intel CPU?

Or is it that I foolhardily partitioned my new machine's hard drive?
