    More History of Netscape

Netscape's 4.x series of browsers had a poor support for CSS and no support for XML.

It took Netscape nearly three and a half years after the release of 4.0, to produce its next generation browser. This delay has clearly hurt Netscape's possibilities to dominate the browser market.

Don't get me wrong. I didn't say that I thought it was bad. Historically it was simply out developed by other browsers (including Firefox) and was abandoned by the general populous.

    The stats speak for themselves.

Their lack of support for CSS and no support for XML during a three and half year period earned them a bad reputation, which forced users to find better alternatives.

I'm just trying to set the record straight.

A friend of mine points out that there is an archive of Web browsers.

You might find the version you are looking for there.

If you're having a hard time dealing with Netscape, just switch to Firefox for a better result.

    Absolutely!

The problem I would have running an older browser is security. There are too many exploitive holes in older browsers that make them vulnerable to attacks. Always make sure that the browser you are using is secure and up-to-date.

    Proof?

Tpneer2 has still not provided us with any evidence to back up these assertions. Where is your proof?

I have provided several reliable sources.

    We're waiting...
