    i did live chat with Mary G(Kodak Technical Staff) for older apps of easyshare but they dont provide any older version OR any other supported version for 98SE.

    and there is no any other version without v7 and v8 on Kodak site

    here is download link which i have trace.
    download.kodak.com/digital/software/easyShare/v7_0_0/install_easyshare.exe
    download.kodak.com/digital/software/easyShare/v8_0_0/install_easyshare.exe

    anyways
    when i was surfing for easy share i fould one chinese which have easyshare 2.0
    but i didnt found download link for it...
    www.31388.com.cn/down/softdown.asp?softid=4621
    u can use google translater to translate chinese to english.

    my personal suggestion is you should upgrade your operating system to XP, or Vista..Win 7
    Windows 98SE is old and not much capable for new softwares.

    @roipatrick,
    Your Easyshare software was OK for Win2000 but could not be installed due to some unknown reasons as it showed some error code during installation. but I have got another link Kodak Cameras and MP3 Player Driver Download -- Open Drivers Download Service
    This gives 4.0.2 and 4.0.4 versions of Easyshare software.

    Thanks!

    I tried the every solution suggested but couldnot find a suitable version of Kodak Esayshare or Picasa that helps to identify the camera (driver mismatch problem). So, I purchased and installed a 'memory card reader' and put the micro-SD card taken out from the camera. Now, I'm able to download all the photographs taken to my computer. This is "A Hardware Solution for A Software Problem".

    That is what i also do when i am having a hard time looking for a software for a particular hardware of mine. I have downloaded the links you gave me and for some reasons it cannot continue. Somethings missing in that link i gave you, right? Sorry for the disappointment i caused you but i will still look for another way to find your software although using card reader is a very smart move.

    I have a similar problem--I have an EasyshareM753 camera that I've had for several years. I had the editing software in my windows 2000 computer and it got damaged. I found the original CD in the box the camera came in, but it wouldn't reload into the computer. It is Version 6.4. Apparently it tried to make it load off the Net, and as others have found, it won't load into Win2000. I got onto Kodak's online chat, and the tech support person said I'd have to upgrade the computer to XP for it to work. I'm surprised that the original CD won't reload into a computer that it has run it previously.

    See if you can clean that CD and try again. Use water or glass cleaner and paper napkins to clean your CD.
