    Question Kodak Easyshare Software

    I have just purchased a Kodak Easyshare C190 digital camera (12 MP + 5x optical zoom). The product came with a CD for Kodak Easyshare software needed for attaching the camera with PC for downloading the photos to the PC. But unfortunately the version (7.**) given is INCOMPATIBLE for windows 2000 or 98SE. The Kodak website DOES NOT provide any earlier versions compatible with those OS. They only provide software compatible with WinXP-SP2 and Vista.

    Can any of you find me an earlier version of Easyshare software (version 5.00 or 4.**) which is compatible to Win2K or 98SE?

    See if this helps. I have had both of these software for a long time. I thought they were for older pcs but not sure yet.

    Thumbs down Wrong version of Kodak Easyshare Software

    @help_desk,
    Thanks for your prompt response but these two Kodak Easyshare software are of incompatible version with Win2k or 98SE.
    They are actually for WinXP-SP2.

    <EASYSHARE Software v7.0 and later: WINDOWS XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) or WINDOWS VISTA Operating Systems.>
    I actually need version 4.0.2 or 4.0.4 or upto 5.**
    Any member of OldApps: Is there something for me?

    I tried looking for version 4 for an hour and still found a brick wall.

    I did find a post somewhere online that said that actually older version of Picasa did work with Kodac camers on Windows 98 and Windows 2000.

    Here is the link to download Picasa from Google's website: http://dl.google.com/picasa/picasa2-setup-1884.exe

    Let me know if that helps or not. Good luck.

    @roipatrick,
    never say 'sorry', brother. My post was meant for everyone INCLUDING YOU for reading and giving valuable suggestions and solutions. I have downloaded that .zip file and give it a try this evening. I shall let you know about the outcome tomorrow.
    Off the Track <I read about natural calamities at Phillipines and felt sorry. Is everything OK at your neighbourhood?>

    @help_desk,
    Thanks for taking so much pain for solving my problem. I have downloaded the 'picasa2-setup-1884.exe' from your link and inform you about the result after trying it.

    I have also get one Easyshare software from my friend who claims that this is perfectly OK for Win2000. I also saw the software running smoothly in his Win2000 based PC (256 MB RAM) but it failed to be installed in my system (128 MB RAM). Can you guys check it out? I am attaching it with this post.

    Thanks!
