    Default Google Earth

I downloaded the oldest version of Google Earth but Google won't let me run it. It asks to "upgrade" before the actual installation can go ahead.

I already have the new version.

I need to look at older images of Google Earth.

    Any help is appreciated.

You can see the old version of Google Earth at this page. Google Earth
Before you install it just disable your internet connection so that you can proceed to your installations.
    Good luck!

    Thanks for the advice.

Tried to install as instructed, but didn't work. GE asked to reconnect to the Internet to begin installation.

I removed the new version of GE, and tried to install the old version. Didn't work either. Asks to authenticate the downloaded software by connecting to the internet, before installation.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks.

I see... If you are using Licensed GE much better but if you don't have... then find some crack on it... I am sure it works but its difficult to find. I have Google Earth with crack.

Just tell us what version of Google Earth you install and will find some of it to work with.

    Thanks for the reply.

I, like others, started with 3.0 and upgraded as instructed to 4.0 and again to the newer 4.0.

I fiddled with GE and after removing, disconnecting and installing GE a few times, managed to get the older version installed. It looked just like the old version and the old design.

    BUT

When I run the supposed old version it was in fact the new version of GE with the old version look.

Any ideas would be appreciated, and thanks for the help.

Incidentally, if anyone has in fact the old version with the older aerial photos, I would really appreciate it if they could look up something for me. There are 2 locations I am trying to access for the older photos.

By the way, I did a search to find if there were other posts regarding Google Earth, so I would not "re-ask" the same. The results were negative, even though there seem to have been other posts.
