Need older Yahoo Messenger - but which one to recover my contacts? When I wiped out my hard drive (Vista) and started over, I had to reinstall some programs. I downloaded Yahoo Messenger 10 and found that none of my previous information came with it. So I uninstalled. But I don't know which previous version I had (or whether I can recover contacts.) Any suggestions? (Incidentally, my Vista recovery brought back my photo folders without any photos.)

I believe you can download any old version of yahoo messenger because contacts are saved within you account not in the program itself (yahoo messenger) so if you notice when you go to your mail account, if you check your contacts, they are still there. So no need to worry about the contacts.

Yahoo messenger contacts will auto migrate to newer versions right away. All if you will load it at mail.yahoo.com and all you need to do is check the contacts for yahoo, they even added facebook contacts same chat function and some other instant messaging contacts that you can add. A great bundle program that yahoo created right now.
