Default removing old apps and files ?

I just upgraded to VMW 4 and Win7 Home premium. I deleted my old WinXP virtual machine in the VM library, and with it, all of the apps went away.

My question is whether MSOffice, WinXP and other apps still live on my hard disk and need to be deleted/uninstalled. If so, how do I find them and do this.

Everything is working, but I prefer to free up disk space and make sure I don't have duplicated or old versions of code on my HD.

    Any ideas?

Usually when you remove .vmdk of a Virtual Machine it deleted almost everything that was installed in it. What you can do is just scan your harddrive to see where most of your data is being used.

I recommend installing TreeSize Free - Quickly Scan Directory Sizes and Find Space Hogs to scan your drive and free up space.
