Hi,
I recently inherited a G4 PowerPC MAC OS X with a LION operating system version 10.5.8. I have tried to locate an older version of Amazon's Kindle program so that I could view a .mobi formatted file, but each site that Google listed that was supposed to have a version for MAC OX S, version 10.5 either forwarded me to the current edition of Kindle that is for version higher than 10.5.8 or it didn't forward me anywhere but still offered the same current version of Kindle that doesn't work on a PowerPC 10.5.
I am actually not a software snob and my interest is that I simply want to be able to access this .mobi formatted file. I really don't care what software program helps me to achieve this goal. I, like most people, have heard of Kindle for doing eBooks, etc. So, maybe, an earlier version of Kindle exists that will function on a decade old PowerPC, and if not, then there must be another program I could use. Yes?
I would appreciate feedback or, even better, a link to a program that I could install and that would allow me to access ANY eBook format; however, again, at this moment, I specifically need software for the .mobi file. Thanks in advance for your help.![]()
