I am looking for the following software:

I need this specific one because I am unable to download Service Pack 2 for XP since I have dial up and Windows Media Connect 2.0 requires SP2.

2.1 Where can I download Windows Media Connect?

Because Windows Media Connect technology has been improved and incorporated into Windows Media Player 11, the standalone version of Windows Media Connect is no longer available for download.

The media sharing feature in Windows Media Player 11 lets you stream music, pictures, and video from your computer to devices that are connected to your wired or wireless home network. If you already have Windows Media Connect 1.0 or 2.0 installed on your computer, it will automatically be upgraded when you install Windows Media Player 11.

I had the exact same problem.
I couldn't download the service pack 2 since my connection is so slow. That caused me so many problem! Your reply was really helpful.

microsoft keeps a backup to all of their security updates and everything else on their website, it's a little tricky to get to but once your there you can get all the updates for windows going back to 95

Have you tried using download managers. It might help you but i'm not so sure about it. If your connection is slow then you can actually pause and continue the download anytime but may take you a week or so. I'm not so sure about this, but you can also ask other major advisor and moderators and also admin if they know another option.
