Is it worth install. old version of Zone Alarm?

Hi, my operating system is WIN98SE and i have no firewall - tried to install free ZoneAlarm6 personal edition but they wont install on win98 anymore because microsoft no longer provides updates for patches/holes etc - and i was woundering what a good free alternative was to having none at all.

no dramas thou - PC only cost 50 bucks

Sure you can have ZoneAlarm's older version installed on that OS. But be sure to update the virus definations every now and then. Also along with ZA, you should also install ad-aware to make your pc even more safer.

Thanks - im a novice. there are alot of old versions, which one of these do you suggest? as there is three 6.0. and three 5.5. versions on:

or should i just start at the first 5.5. and then next one down?

and yes i will also install ad-ware SE personal

on google: suggestafix.com has said: The last version of Zone Alarm to work with windows 98 is Version 6.1.744.001 which im just about to install now.
So have to log out now.

Yes, this download was sucessful,
although i opted for the Zone Alarm PRO 15day free trial
and found 28 viruses
4 high risk/1 was a trojan - DELETING ALL

If ever there's an error about that program try reinstalling it. Maybe it will reverse the error.
