hi im looking for quicktime 6.0.4 for mac os x 10.1, i have only found it two times and i forgot where. if someone could find it for me that would be great.
thank you,
Hi. I'm looking for a copy of Quicktime 6.5 (i.e. 6.5.0) for Mac OS X. I've only been able to find 6.5.2 through extensive Google searches. Seeing as QT installs not only a base program, but a lot of libraries and such, it would be best if someone could find an actual installation .dmg, or at the very least, a .pkg or .mpkg file for its installation. 6.5 was released on December 18, 2003, and was soon replaced with later versions. I've looked on the Apple site, VersionTracker, Softpedia, and lots of other places.
I am also looking for QT 6.5.1, in the same dmg/pkg/mpkg form.
The reason for my interest is that I have reason to suspect that this version of Quicktime allowed for Ogg Vorbis playback (and, therefore, allowed iTunes to play ogg files). The only evidence I have to support this is my memory, and the fact that iTunes 4.2, which was released on the same day, contains a file icon for Ogg format files.
Anyway, I hope someone out there has this version. Thanks!
