There is couple of things you can do. First of all restart the computer and see if that icon is gone.
Otherwise, uninstall itunes and reinstall the newer version from http://www.apple.com/itunes
Good luck
Alright,
iPod nano 1st gen.
I plugged in a broken ipod. It recognized iPod however it said it was corrupted and needed restoring. Tried restoring came up with "unknown error 1418" and won't restore.
When I took the ipod out it didn't take the ipod off of the devices. I can't get rid of it. Whenever I sign into itunes it says that there is a corrupted ipod that needs restoring. I just want the ipod off the computer because we can't plug in other ipods. Its already wrecked one of them.
thanks!
ps.
the ipod is destroyed...so there's no plugging it back in.
