Few days ago, I wrote this thread for users just like you who wants to downgrade their itunes. Dongrade to iTunes 6 from iTunes 7

My Mac kindly asked me if I wanted to update my iTunes today....sure, I thought and went ahead and did it. That was a mistake.
My old version of iTunes has been replaced with the new version of iTunes (iTunes 7) that doesn't work on my computer. This software requires a Mac OSX 10.4.7 or higher. My Mac is a simple OSX 10.4.6.
I found this site to download an older version and am now completely lost. None of the old version work either. I don't know which version of iTunes was the one I previously had. The only thing I know was that the icon was green.
I've downloaded iTunes version 5.0, 6.0, 6.0.2, 6.0.4. (there's no 6.0.5 that people were refering to in other threads)....and none of them work. Some give me a "Warning" when I try to open it: "The following disk images failed to mount"; "Reason: not recognized". Other versions allow me to begin the downloading process but at the "Installation Type" step gives me a warning that reads, "You cannot continue. There is nothing to install.".
Can someone please help me with this problem?
I would love to listen to my music and return to the tried and true green iTunes that I loved, and now miss, soo much!
