AVG Editions- Not working

Hey, i was just wondering why i am unable to fully install any versions of AVG anti virus on my Windows XP computer. I have a Dell in case you were wondering. Whenever i try to download AVG, it freezes and says Not Responding once it is up to the step of Checking the System. I have tried the newest version along with the previous two versions and none work. I have tried to unistall and reinstall and now i am stuck with no anti virus software because i cant reinstall it. Please help me .

Welcome to the forum. If you are not able to install AVG on your computer, I would recommend you to go to the official forum of the Grisoft (http://forum.grisoft.cz/freeforum/list.php?2). They have well over 9000 posts of installation questions. They should be able to help you out easily.

If they are not able to resolve your issue, however, I suggest you to install avast anti virus. Avast is also free of charge and well known anti-virus software. You can get more information on avast here (http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html)

I hear you! I've had a lot of trouble trying to get AVG to run on several XP machines. I just flat-out gave up. Try Avira or PC Tools instead. I've had better luck with those, and they're both free.
