    Question lost in messenger

I am retired so not too good on PC. I have 64K with 192.oMB Ram. I have windows ME and at present have Inetnet Explorer 5.5 I had messenger4 and had problem with it so uninstalled this and installed 6.2 but when I tried to logon I got a dialog box daying (new version to download) this inhibited me from signing in to messenger 6.2. When I tried to download the new version it would not load because I have not got IE 6SP1 at least. This will not install I get a dialog box saying ( You have the correct folders but still unable to install ) I am stuck with this and cannot get out of it. Any ideas will be appreciated. Will

First of all try to install Internet explorer 6 because it will be much better than IE 5 if you want. Otherwise, remove all messenger files from your computer associated with Windows Messenger. Then download a fresh copy of Windows Messenger 4 and run it. If none of that helps. Install Miranda or Trillian. They both can run MSN account.

    Hey Bill,

There is also something called MSN Web Messenger that runs online just like Aim Express. That way you will not have to install any programs on your computer. However, I use Miranda and its a great free program.
