Paint Shop Pro v7.2 - compatible with Windows XP?

Hello ... I've googled my brain out trying to find the answer to the above question.

With no JASC website anymore - and no reference to anything on the Corel site - I am hoping someone here can help me.

I have installed v8.0 on my computer but its just got too many gadgets and too much rearranging for me to wrap my brain around it. I gave it a try for over a month but still can't get from A to B without going through X, Y, Z.

I've run all PSP from v5 to v10 on XP no probs
True 8 and 10 do a bit TOO much

I'm back to (safer and faster) W98 now so I can't check this exactly, but somewhere on the properties tab for a program you find an option to run in an older Windows mode, if you have any probs with it in straight XP
