older Yahoo Messenger version 2.5.3 mac osx "expired" and not opening

I've been using the above version for the last two years on my mac without issue. When attempting to log into YIM, I started getting "this version expired on 4/2/08. Download new version" messages as of yesterday without allowing me to log in. I downloaded the new beta 3, but I hate the new version's chat bubbles, inability to select standard text, and inability to save messages. Can anyone help me get my old version working again? yea I dont see any older version download for Mac OS X besides 3.0 on Yahoo's messenger download site either.

You can try using the web messenger http://webmessenger.yahoo.com/ and see if you like it or not
