Downloaded IE 6.0, erasing IE 5.5?
Hallo,
I downloaded IE 6.0 to replace mz IE 5.5. Now the download is not an upgrade of the 5.5 but a FULL download. How do I go about switching from the 5.5 ( still in operation ) to the 6.0: I guess I canot just erase the 5.5 ( and maybe do not want to ). The OS is a W98.

IE 6 will install over IE 5.5. I've done it several times. Make sure you run Windows Update for security patches.

The other way to run almost most versions the IE at the same time.
1) Go to http://tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE . Read about the multiple IE software.
2) Download http://tredosoft.com/files/multi-ie/...e-ie-setup.exe
3) Install it

IE 6 will install over IE 5.5 automatically
