Syncing Ipod nano with Itunes 4.1

Just downloaded itunes 4.1 due to probs with current version. Now it wont pick up a new Ipod Nano..

any ideas on how to sync old itunes version with new ipod?

I dont think that ipod nano is compatible with iTunes 4.1. Download and install iTunes version 6.0.5 or above
