Default Trying to buy old software that will run on Win7 64-bit

Trying to buy from Corel an old 'paintshop pro 11', seems to me to be impossible.
The version is freely available as a 30 day trial, I'm using it and I like it.

You may well ask, why not download 'Corel PaintShop Pro X6' ?

Well for some reason my win 7, 64 bit stalls half way through the X6 installation sequence.

Looking at the error messages, it seemed to be linked into .Net Framework, I installed the latest framework V4.

After that the error messages started referring to Visual C++.

I tried downloading it from MS, but gave up after one of the seven offered downloads called error reporting stalled loading.

I didn't remember these problems installing paint shop V2, a long long time ago but then neither .net framework nor Visual C++ existed.

Well I started downloading previous versions of psp going back in time and yes I found as my most recent and compatible with win7 a version called PSP X1.

I'll settle for it even though it hasn't got any bells nor whistles, but then I'm hardly in a position to ask for more.

The niggle is Where and to Who can I get the license and pay for the product.

I almost forgot, I got in touch with Corel technical support when I discovered my brand shiny new psp X6 installation problems. I got the mechanised reply " You will be contacted... and then to date silence.

I would be most grateful if anyone can point me to how to get Corel to sell me an old paint shop pro X1.

    Bye
    Fred

shanravie (407 stars) for $4. That should do it, right?

I also have Dell versions of Paint Shop pro Studio and Paint Shop Pro Album
from Dell 801 printer (2005) installation CD, they are great in win7 64.
But cannot get Dell to admit owning it, to sell me a Reg Key.
Coral no help either. Such is life !! Jackaries
