need to go back to iTunes old Version

Hi!!! every time i want to download some old iTunes, it delivers me this error message:

"403 Forbidden You do not have permission to access this document"

Hi, I am looking to go back to itunes 7. whatever was the last 7. update. I updated to 8, and had been having trouble with my iPod video. Tried to restore several times to no avail. Also in itunes 8, everything is all pink, like everything has been 'selected' . Minimizing the window seems to clean it up. anyways. how do I go back to version 7? PS I plugged my ipod into my work laptop and it synced up fine.

I updated to the new itunes 8 and i hate it. i uninstalled and downloaded an older version, i tried following the steps in the earlier threads about the error message "the file "ituneslibrabry.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a new version of itunes" but even after creating a backup it still gives me the error message.
anyone have any idea what i should do?

After you create the backup, remove it (ituneslibrabry.itl) completely from that folder. Then you should be able to install it.

hey guys, i had that same problem with itunes.. i hate that stupd program. anyways.. what i did was i searched for the file.. and found; it in mydocuments/my music/itunes... then i just deleted the whole folder (EDITED:Make sure you keep a back up for this folder since this folder has your itunes music as well) it works fine now.
try that it should work.

Hi,
I am new to this website & am a newbie when it comes to computers & tech jargon. I am having the same problem. I downloaded iTunes 6 from your website but can't access my library because it was created on a newer version. I have Vista Home Premium. I did a search for the My Music file. I can't find a "my music" file & I don't know how to backup my music or playlist.

Before I downloaded Itunes 6 I thought I uninstalled 7 but when I downloaded 6 there in the list was 7 that apparently dnlded from your website when I was trying to get IT6. So I have 7 on my computer somewhere. Is there a way to go back & get my play list from 7 & then uninstall 7 & install 6 again? I didn't install 7- just dnlded it. Can you help me to straighten this out. The other person said they dragged a file onto the desktop but what file are they talking about? I am totally lost. Pl e a s e Help!!!!
