Thanks~

My question is, can I put the file I dragged to the desktop back to the

Coz
I like to keep my desktop clean.

Thanks so much~
Hey hannie0502,

if you drag that back to the original folder. It will create problems. If iTunes works fine for you and there are no problems at all then you can delete that file.

Default ditch iTunes 7 and revert to old library - 10-08-2006

Thanks for the advise in this post... after installing iTunes 7, and then 7.01, my computer was running really slow, iTunes was skiping and garbling and acting terribly... so I really needed to go back to 6.05.

For all of you that need to do the same it's pretty easy:
I downloaded the 6.05 install file from from oldapps, uninstalled 7.01 and then re-installed 6.05. When I ran iTunes it did give me the error message that the library file was created in a new version and couldn't open, but I then deleted the 'itunes library.itl' file (in My Music > iTunes folder) and then replaced it with the backup that was automatically created when I installed 7.01 (in My Music > iTunes > Previous iTunes Libraries). iTunes then started up fine with all my music and playlists. And all the skipping and CPU bogging is better now.

Thanks again for the app download and advice on the forum!!

After installing the older version of iTunes, you might need to restart your computer and then if it doesn't find it. Can you please tell me what do you see on the iPod screen?

If I uninstall itunes 7, then install an older version, will my playcounts and ratings be reset?

Hey Krelian,

I tried installing iTunes 6.5 from iTunes 7 and it in fact deletes the ratings and play count.

So before you uninstall version 7, I would recommend you to backup the Library.itl
