Sound problem with Skype 2.5.0.85 ON MAC!

Have two older Mac desktops, both running OS 10.3.9. Have two identical headphone phones and iMic units both of which work fine with Skype on one of the desktops. Am trying to get Skype to work on the second machine, and I have no problem hearing but cannot get my voice out. I've checked the Sound settings in the System Preferences, and everything is on. I know the phone and the iMic are working properly, because they work fine on the other tower. Obviously I'm missing something--but I can't figure out what. Any suggestions? Much appreciated--thanks!

Hi Vishal, yes, I have tried removing it completely from the hard drive and reinstalling it. In fact, I tried this twice, each time shutting down and restarting the computer. What is so confusing is that the two towers are identical, both the same processor speed and both running OS 10.3.9, both with the same Sound settings in the System Preferences, yet on one Skype 2.5.0.85 works perfectly, and on the other I can hear but my voice out (microphone) does not work. I'm open to all suggestions--many thanks! Best, Susan.

yeah its annoyin sometimes.
seems like Skype n microphone is ok..so problem can be in operating system.
ur facing really very strange prob. if all setting n version is same in both computers then it should work ..lets wait if other ppl know about this..

Yes, that is what is so confusing. Both OS's the same, both versions of Skype the same, sound settings the same, and iMic and phone tested and know that it works. If anyone else has a suggestion, please post. And thanks again, Vishal! Best, Susan.
