Skype 3.8 on Windows Vista

After using Skype for 10 months, I received an update from Skype and installed it. Now Skype is not responding when I try to open it. I tried uninstalling then reinstalling but I still get no response. Help!

Thank you for your help. I uninstalled Skype 3.8 , then downloaded Skype 3.0.0.190 and the audio worked. The video did not work but that is not as important for me.

installing service pack on your vista will eliminate any skype issues on your machine

If you want to return to your original version of skype try doing system restore. It will definitely make you skype work.
That is the fastest and the (not so easy) way in making your skype work again.
