Itunes newest download giving me a hardtime. Okay my mom jusz bought me an ipod nano chromactic for christmas && i need itunes 8 jusz to use it. Everytime i try downloading it, it keeps saying "can not find network location of itunes/." && i really dont know what they're talking about. I tried downloading the very first version of itunes (itunes 4.1.0 some crap like that) && that was very successful. But when i tried to update it from there it took me to that same itunes 8 page off of apple.com and everytime i TRIED to download it, it still gave me that same crap of cannot find the network location??? I tried calling apple support line but they keep giving me this indian man which is no help.
I'm on a windows XP.
So can anyone help me

If you have an iTunes , kindly uninstall it first then look for remaining files left by that uninstall process, some files will be left after a successful uninstall process so you need to delete it. Then the next step is to reboot your computer so that the computer will not recognize iTunes or any files from iTunes. Then you can now install the iTunes version you want.
