Codec might be missing for that video file. Try VLC Player for Mac. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

I am having the same problem but with my iTunes/Quicktime. I'm on Mac 10.3.9 with a newly updated iTunes 7.0

My videos (which were just transfered over from my "old" computer) used to play just fine, but now only the sound will play. All I did was update the programs the files play on, not the files themselves...so...any clue as to what's going on?

All of my files are MP4's. They used to be FLV's until I converted them with iSquint, but I did that a long time ago...before I updated my system.

Try one of oldapps application to play your movie files. Even broken files can read one of this applications.
