Which Firefox version?

I have an eMac OS X 10.3.9. After trying to update Firefox we lost it completely. We realised the update was for Mac OS X 10.4.0. What version of firefox can we have now? We've downloaded 3.0.1 and 3.0.2 and they don't open the application although they seem to down load OK?What are we doing wrong?

Ditto for me also. I just bought a G5 and setting up my programs in OSX 10.3.9. I tried to bring the Firefox over from my G4. But that would not work either. I've downloaded different versions of Firefox but none will open up or a window says they can't be mounted. Using Explorer is not an option I want to accept!!

Firefox 2.X versions works with OS X 10.3.9

If you can not mount that installer that's simple because the installer was made with a newer version of dis mounting software. Run updates on your system to get the most up-to-date updates and then you should be able to mount Firefox 2.X and install it.

P.s. you might have to reboot and update ur mac few times until no new updates show up.
