Default Explorer 5.1 problem (Essential Files)

I have downloaded the latest version of Explorer that was available on this site for MacOS9 because I was getting a dialog box from the 5.0 version which says: {This application program cannot be opened because the folder "Essential Files" cannot be found} This dialog box comes up when I click on a hot link from my e-mail program.

What and where do I find "Essential Files"?

    thanks for the help.

Essential Utilities for Internet Explorer includes RSS Reader, Passwords Manager, Notes keeper, Form Filler, File Viewer, Favorites Viewer/Searcher, and QuickLinks toolbar. But I am not quite sure if these are for MacOS09 too. I will do some research work on where to find these files for you

    Hi Barbara,

If I do understand what you're writing, some indeed essential files
are missing. To be clear, what I'm going to write now only concerns
Microsoft Internet Explorer and Outlook Express for Mac OS 9.
Guessing you have a Mac OS 9.1 install cd, you should look for
and run the "Microsoft Internet First Run" (in the folder Microsoft
    Internet Self-Repair). This application will
install all the necessary files for Explorer and Outlook to run
correctly. Of course as always after installing new software, you
restart your computer. Then, after some configurations there should
be no problems any more with Outlook 5.x. If you want to use
Internet Explorer, you should look for the latest version working
    on Mac OS 9, which is version 5.1.7. No real installation needed;
just copy the whole folder to your hard disk. This version can
coexist with previous versions. Must be available somewhere
on the Web; one more Google or Yahoo search ;o)
