installing Internet Explorer on Mac X

I downloaded IE5_2_3.dmg from oldaps.com. The application failed; I followed the suggestion to save the file first. It saved, but would not open. the error message was: invalid checksum.

I am trying to download the old version of Internet Explorer onto my Mac because the class I am taking has reading reserves that don't seem to open using either Firefox or Safari. I updated Safari, but that doesn't help either. I have been able to open the readings from my work computer using IE but not Firefox. I am not able to open the readings from my Mac at all.

What mac os X are you running?

Try downloading and using firefox, any version will do instead of using internet explorer.
