I totally hate the newer version of yahoo toolbar. Is there anyway I can download the older version?

The best way to reinstall the old version of Yahoo Toolbar is by reinstalling the old version of Yahoo Messenger.

OK. Let me explain. Since we do not have older version of Yahoo Toolbar. You will have to uninstall your current Yahoo Messenger + Yahoo Toolbar.

Then Install any previous version of yahoo that way you will be able to get older version of Yahoo Toolbar.

Thank you. But i've downloaded 7.5, 6.1 and 5.5 versions of the messenger. None of them contains Yahoo! Toolbar. What am I doing wrong?

Let me check on it again.... You're right I can't even find the toolbar in those versions too.

Dude, Yahoo Toolbar started packing some bullshit tools with it. Upuntil 2001 it was great and easy to use. Old is often better!

Now Google Toolbar has probably the same features what yahoo used to have. So I recommand using Google Toolbar for all of you who is using Win 2000, ME and XP.

I didnt like the new version of yahoo messenger either so I uninstalled it and installed an older version. I also do not use the yahoo tool bar I always use the google tool bar.

im having problems signing in to yahoo messenger. it's been a week now & still i can't sign in. im using the latest version of YM. is there anything wrong w/ the latest version, and what older version is still best to use? hope someone can answer me. thanks

I have 8.1 yahoo messenger. . i have lost the chat rooms , not the uk one , i want to re install old version . but i am afraid of losing my friends on the list. but also , how do i uninstall the messenger. it is part of the disc. have looked on control panel , yahoo not on the list only windows messenger.
any ideas please. your help is needed.

Here is what you can do to uninstall Yahoo Messenger if it is not listed on the control panel's Add/Remove programs.

Go to : C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger and there should be an application called UNWISE. Double click on that and you should be able to remove Yahoo Messenger's new version.

By uninstalling Yahoo Messenger you will not loose buddies listed on your messenger, but you might loose the Chat History

After uninstalling the new version of Yahoo Messenger, go to http://www.oldapps.com/yahoo_messenger.htm and download the previous version.
