What happens when an unstoppable force meets an unmovable object?
You still got the WLM 8.5 BETA? Get the true version. I'll upload the file to the site as soon as I find out how. I have every version ever made including beta ones. unfortunately, there are only about 5 that actully work becuase if you try to sign in, it forces you to upgrade.
I just downloaded it for testing purposes. I never use WLM... i'm a Gtalk, YM and skype user![]()

Yes That Would Be Great, Let Me Know When You Have Figured Out How To Upload The File.
You Could Also Upload It To Fileshare, Or Photobucket And Paste The Link![]()
I'm using v8.5.1302.1018, which still had the update nag until 'rectified' as described in my other post (or one could use the other also-user-tested method described in this topic). According to mess.be, this is the final 8.5 version - many language versions including English are available on the following webpage, scroll down a bit then click the "Windows Live Messenger 8.5.1302" link at the left under "Wanna Mess?":
Mess with Windows Live and MSN Messenger: download free msn animated emoticons, names, etc.
The 'standalone installer' is the one to get.
(NB The 'Windows Live Installer' listed below the standalone installers on that webpage is the approx. 1-2Mb generic Windows Live installer which is what you download from the Microsoft site for all recent versions of Windows Live Messenger - it then downloads and installs the latest files, so is of no use to people wanting older versions.)
The above files have been up since 2007 so I'm assuming any trojans would have been well reported by now. Just for the record I didn't install from it myself; I upgraded from a previous version way back when.
